July 27, 2016 – The government of Mexico has launched its 2016-2017 scholarships competition for Canadian students, researchers, and academics wishing to study, teach, conduct research, organize conferences or create artwork in Mexico.
June 30, 2016 – Canadian students are eligible for a scholarship to pursue a Master’s or PhD in Brazil. There is no Portuguese language requirement at the application stage, but selected applicants must show proof of superior intermediate level of Portuguese before their departure.

May 11, 2016 – A total of 18 institutional collaborations and student exchange agreements were signed, 14 are currently being negotiated and another 24 are being explored following the 2015 Emerging Leaders in the Americas Program (ELAP) Collaboration Mission.
March 23, 2016 – The Government of Malaysia is inviting Canadians to participate in the 58th International Al-Quran Recital and Memorizing Assembly to be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from 2-7 May 2016.
February 22, 2016 – Up to three scholarships are offered, by the Government of the Republic of Korea, to Canadian students and researchers for studies or research at the Master’s or PhD level in South Korea.
January 26, 2016 – The Program provides funding to Canadian students for study or research at the Master’s or PhD level that lead to a degree at a university or educational institution in an OAS Member State.
